March & April: Showers of Gods Faithfulness

What a great God we have! It's been such a busy and crazy time.
My body is literally exhausted, but my heart is so full of joy!
God is so very good, and I'm left without words as I continue to see His faithfulness.

South America, Missions Mobilization Update

As many of you know another part of my ministry focus here in South America is to find, develop and help send out (mobilize) South Americans that are called to missions. During the end of this month we will have a very important conference and time of development in Rio, Brazil.

During April 20 - 24th global, regional and national NMI leaders, local presidents, missions coordinators, and South Americans that are passionate about domestic and international missions will gather together for days of empowerment and development. This will be a time where missions leaders can network and begin to dream up ways they can mission together. We are anticipating great things from God during April 20-24th in Rio, Brazil!

This missions conference is called 'Proclaim His Glory!' and its scripturally based on Acts 4:20, 29-31; would you please pray this scripture with us?

"As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.... Now Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus. And after they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly."

Local Church: San Lorenzo, Paraguay

The past couple of weeks have been full of smiles and lots of learning. At the local church of San Lorenzo, I am helping with the children's ministry on the weekends.

The kids are so smart and so eager to learn more about Jesus. Any time there is an activity at the church the kids are present! Kids are so vital to the life of the local church.

This is really special because they're starting to get it.. they are starting to connect that as followers of Jesus, we are called to love Gods people and His church!

Most of our learning these past weeks has been outside because our kids room is in transition right now. We're getting tile floor installed and we're really thankful for that! We trust that God will continue to provide for us to finish getting our kids room together.

Would you please join me in praying for our San Lorenzo kids this week? A large part of our kids come from unchurched homes, which also means they come to church without their parents or guardians. Still, we are believing and trusting that God is moving in the hearts of these kids and also in their homes. Please join me in asking God to pour his grace and love on the kids of Paraguay, especially the San Lorenzo kids!

Home Assignment, July - Sept. 2016

Can't wait to share more stories about how God is moving in Paraguay and all around South America! So thank you once again, because you're part of this movement through your prayers!

If your church, small group or family just want to share some time together please don't hesitate to contact me and we can work out some time to share coffee or a meal. Please feel free to email me at: Lreza@samnaz.org

Thank You for Praying!

Prayer is so vital in everything that we're doing here in Paraguay and all throughout South America. Wanted to share some specific prayer requests that are on my list during this month:
  • South America Missions Conference, April 20th - 24th
  • San Lorenzo Church of the Nazarene their kids and youth ministry
  • Pastors, leaders and future missionaries developing in South America
  • Home Assignment time; for it to be a time of renewing and encouragement
Thank you so much in your ongoing support through your prayers! I know and trust that God will continue to surprise, provide and care for me and His people.

Let's stay in contact!

2 months and counting...

¡Hola! Paraguay is home. Paraguay is hot and humid, and I'm loving it!

So, I'm finally starting to settle into my little house. Moving has its ups and downs, now imagine moving across international borders; oh what fun! Still, I can now somewhat go around town without feeling so lost, and that's really great improvement. Yay, google maps and Spanish skills! Paraguay is really starting to cling to my heart. The people are warm and hospitable. I love being part of the San Lorenzo Church of the Nazarene, where I help out with anything thats needed. I love this church already for lots of reasons, and I will share those in my next post.

With a new move comes lots of feelings of missing my old home Argentina and my friends there. And of course I miss my family back in Oklahoma, but I have a more direct mailing system here so getting snail mail from them has been really fun. If you want to know my address, email me and we can get connected!

Looking back at the weeks here in Paraguay, I'm thankful for Gods protection and the way that God is so faithful in providing everything I need just at the right time. God is good. God is constantly good. Sometimes its good to say that out loud, just saying.

Today, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who sends me encouraging emails and those that remember me their prayers. Trust me, they are deeply felt!

Plus, I also wanted to share pictures and a video with you all. Please don't forget that I'm still working on filling up my schedule for my time back home in the USA (July 1st - September 30th). So, let's connect and maybe talk about the possibilities of me stopping by to share stories about the ministry in South America: Lreza@samnaz.org

Happy 2016 all the way from Paraguay!

¡Hola 2016!

It's almost the end of the month and I'm so happy to be greeting you all from my little comfy home in Paraguay. Thanks to your continued prayers and supported I have had such a great and smooth transition from Argentina to Paraguay. Can't believe I'm really here! I'm excited!

Check out the short video of my new home CLICK HERE!

Here are a few highlights of my first month here in Paraguay, and also a little short video of where of the campus I live. This same campus is where we are building the International Leadership Center. If you have questions about the development/training center project feel free to email: Lreza@samnaz.org

Christmas + New Year:

This year, I got to celebrate Christmas even and Christmas day with the Carney family, plus Sidney and it was a great time. We combined their family customs with local Paraguayan customs. Basically, we ate a lot of delicious meat. It was lots of fun and a night filled with tons of laughs and fireworks!

Then on Christmas day we headed out for a day of lots of sun and pool fun! I came back with a darker skin color than I imagined...Merry Christmas to me? haha..

Later came the New Year, which also included a lot of good food. And between the days there were lots of rains and games fun with Carney family and friends.

Paraguay National Youth Camp:

The year started off with lots of fun with the annual National Youth Camp. There were over 100 youth from all over Paraguay at this camp, and considering this is only the 5th year doing this camp; 100 in attendance is really great! Please have the youth in your prayers. We are praying that God continues to give them passion and creativity to do great things for Gods kingdom here in Paraguay and also in the entire world!
